The Schoellkopf Company is a real estate firm based in Dallas, TX focusing on both brokerage services and real estate investments. The Schoellkopf Co. was founded by Justin Schoellkopf, who comes from a long line of Texas entrepreneurs. The Schoellkopf Co. exists to provide extraordinary service and results to their exceptional clients that include Nike, Inc, Subway, various restaurants and retailers, and individual investors.
Experience: Prior to founding The Schoellkopf Company, Mr. Schoellkopf was a Vice-President in the retail brokerage and tenant representation group of Jones Lang LaSalle. While there, he represented clients such as Safeway’s Tom Thumb, Taco Bueno, Skechers, Legends Car Wash, and Hofmann Hots. In addition to representing retailers, he served as a landlord representative for clients that included The Stainback Organization and Velocis Partners.
Mr. Schoellkopf previously worked for Staubach Retail Services where he served as Senior Associate representing retailers including Cost Plus World Market, Boot Barn, Tesla Motors, Carter’s, Justice, Yankee Candle, Toys-R-Us Express, Sweet Tomatoes, Jos. A. Bank, and Verizon Wireless. While at Staubach Retail Services, Mr. Schoellkopf received the Rising Star Award in 2010.
In addition to his retail experience, Mr. Schoellkopf served as an Associate with Revere Commercial Realty gaining a strong background in healthcare representation for clients including Koll Development Co. (KDC), LandPlan Corp., Caddis Partners, RRH and Quorum Equities Group. Projects he supported included Baylor Medical Center at Frisco, Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall and Texas Regional Medical Center. While at Revere Commercial Realty, Mr. Schoellkopf represented over 1 Million square feet of medical office space.
Education and Affiliations: Mr. Schoellkopf is a graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Business Administration. He was a recipient of the Master Negotiator Award for conflict reasoning and resolution awarded by the Dean of the Hankamer School of Business.
He also gives his time as a volunteer in various organizations including West Dallas Community School (advisory board member and former board member), West Dallas Community School’s Young Professionals group (founding member and advisory board member), The Center for Brain Health’s Think Ahead Group (former board member), Council for Life’s Young Leader’s for Life (former board member), and Park Cities Presbyterian Church (youth department volunteer).
As the Senior Associate for Brokerage and Acquisitions at The Schoellkopf Company, Devin is responsible for negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, and listing agreements. Devin assists in leasing new projects, uncovering new opportunities, and managing due diligence for Schoellkopf Company clients.
Prior to joining The Schoellkopf Company, Devin worked at CBRE as an Associate for Brokerage and Retail Services where he was responsible for sourcing new acquisition opportunities. While at CBRE, Devin represented several national retailers and leased multiple retail centers for various CBRE clients. Prior to joining CBRE, Devin worked underneath his father and uncle, Donald Huffines and Phillip Huffines, at Huffines Communities where he assisted with the management and underwriting of multifamily and single family master plan communities.
Devin received a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. While there, Devin played for the University of Texas football team for the 2011-2014 seasons. In 2013 and 2014 he was named All-Big 12 First Team Academic. In his free time, Devin enjoys hunting, boxing, scuba diving and traveling.
